FIELD PLAYER

Required Equipment

• GOGGLES: Meets the current ASTM standard for girls/women’s lacrosse eyewear; SEI certified and bears the SEI mark. For more information on goggle requirements, visit SEI Website: seinet.org/search.htm#§ion=hidden-us_lacrosse
• CROSSE (Lacrosse Stick): Girls' lacrosse sticks may be slightly shortened for 8U and 10U girls.
• MOUTHGUARD: Must be a visible color other than clear or white. Self-molding (from manufacturers) or custom-molded (from the dentist)
• SHOES: Athletic cleats or athletic shoes.

Optional Equipment

• GLOVES: Must be close-fitting & should be comfortable for the player while holding a stick.
• HEADGEAR/HELMET: Meets current ASTM standards for women’s lacrosse headgear and has a permanent SEI certification mark. » If it includes integrated eyewear, it must also meet that current ASTM standard.

GOALIE PLAYER:

• HELMET: Statement/seal indicating it meets NOCSAE lacrosse standard performance specification and SEI certified.
• THROAT GUARD: Separate from helmet & required for goalies. Attach with snaps/screws/other fasteners. Proper fit for helmet & guard must be done relying on manufacturers’ guidelines & requirements on their website or included with helmet/guard.
• CHEST PROTECTOR: This protector covers the front torso from the neckline to below the navel. The body straps must be secured to the front of the pad, and the pad must be adjusted for a snug, comfortable fit. NOTE: NOCSAE ND 200-compliant goalie pads will be mandatory as of January 1, 2022.
• SHOES: Athletic cleats or athletic shoes
• GOALIE GLOVES: The hand must be fully inserted in the glove. Include goalie-specific additional thumb protection.
• ARM PADS: The elbow should be properly & completely covered.
• GOALIE CROSSE (Stick): Length 40 – 72”. NOTE: 10U and younger have allowances for shorter stick lengths.
• MOUTHGUARD: It must be a visible color other than clear or white. It can be self-molding (from manufacturers) or custom-molding (from a dentist).
